Become an EGCC Artist for the 2023 Art Walk!

Regardless of your medium or skill level, the EGCC provides artists opportunities to display their work, share their experience with the community, and to make connections.


Become a participating artist in the 2023 Art Walk:
The Art Walk is an opportunity for you to connect with the community through art!  This is not a sale or market, it is a free outdoor community event funded by the Burlington Arts and Culture Fund in a shared commitment to cultivate and expand the Burlington art community.   See photo’s from the 2022 Art Walk.


Location:
The Art Walk takes place at Burloak Waterfront Park from 10 am to 4 pm on Saturday, August 26.
Attendance: Estimate 300-400 attendees (based on previous 2 years)


Participation:
Participating Artists can display their art in a variety of ways and run an art experience station to engage with the community.    While sales cannot take place at the event, artists are encouraged to hand out business cards and contact information to make connections.   Artists are also given their own page on the EGCC website and are featured in an “Artist Spotlight” in our social media along with other promotional placements leading up to the event.   Many EGCC artists have generated new business after the event and connections as a result of engaging with the community at previous Art Walk events.


Art Experience Stations:
We encourage artists to set up an art experience station or  demonstration to engage with the community by allowing them to try different art forms or get a behind-the-scenes view of the creation process!  The BACF grant has funds allocated for art station supplies and tables needed however, where possible, please also consider:

  • Sourcing supplies from the community or donations
  • Reaching out to possible businesses who could contribute supplies in exchange for sponsorship
  • Looking for the best possible pricing

By registering you agree to the following:

  • Your display will be ready by 9:45 am latest on the day of the Art Walk.
  • You will NOT take down your display before 4 pm.
  • You agree to promote the event.
  • You understand this is not a market and no sales/transactions will take place at the event.
